Simple Mushroom Penne

If you are not ‘team mushroom’ i don’t know what you are doing here. . just exit yourself outta here! UNLESS; there was a little mouth watering. . and this photo is making you second guess maybe these mushrooms aren’t “the nasty kinds’. . Well these aren’t your average mushrooms. This here, is probably one of my favorites just because i have a BIG love for mushrooms!! The more the better! And it’s almost insane how in the matter of minutes, just a few ingredients turn into this cheesy, buttery. . (my mouth is watering up just from typing this lol).

Servings: 5-6

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • ½ tbsp garlic
  • 2 cups fresh sliced mushrooms
  • ¼ grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt, black pepper, and fresh parsley for topping

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to the package directions.
  2. Heat the butter over medium heat in a wide skillet. Add the mushrooms and sauté for 8-10 minutes, until the mushrooms are a deep golden brown. Add the penne pasta to the pan and stir to combine, adding Parmesan, salt, black pepper, garlic, and fresh parsley.
